Tristan Palanca is a Product Analyst at Bleacher Report, where he helps drive feature optimization, growth, and analytics for Sports Betting features on the award-winning B/R App. He is a UOG graduate, completing his B.S. in Computer Science in 2018 before going on to get his M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa in 2020.

The technology industry as it stands can sometimes seem overwhelmingly broad, offering a multitude of use cases and spanning a variety of disciplines from hardware, networking, and database management to app development, web design, and product management. Tristan will talk about his journey from the decision to enter the computer science field to trying his hand at areas like robotics, firmware, and data engineering before eventually settling into Product Analytics. Along the way, he’ll touch on how he navigated the seemingly endless stream of disciplines and the people and things that pushed him along.
