NASA Guam Space Grant & NASA Guam EPSCOR

NASA Guam Space Grant and NASA Guam EPSCoR invite students to fly high with the UOG Drone Corps! Launched in 2021, the program aims to build technical capacity for drone services on the island by creating a cadre of Federal Aviation Administration-licensed, informed, and responsible remote pilots.

Drone Piloting

Remote pilots from the University of Guam Drone Corps will introduce attendees to the world of drones, and the cutting-edge applications they have for our island. During the presentation, attendees will learn about the steps they need to take to become drone pilots themselves, participate in a flight mission planning session, and interact with drone mapping products. To round off the session, Drone Corps pilots will take to the skies and perform a real-time drone flight for all attendees to see (if weather permits).

The UOG Drone Corps is the institution's first drone certification and training program for UOG and GCC students, focused on increasing education and awareness of drone technology through responsible use. The program expects to begin accepting applications for its third cohort in April 2023.
